Companies are starting to recognize the importance of giving employees the time and space they need to navigate personal loss. Our Corporate Funeral Care Program is a consultation service for corporations, nonprofits, institutions, private/public sector and much more - providing additional bereavement support for their employees.
Mourning Thymes now offers various consultation services for companies, corporations, nonprofits and other small businesses for employees who are handling the death of a loved one. Our consultation includes services of Mourning Thymes, selecting a funeral home, advanced directives, aftercare resources, funeral celebrant, and other ways to have a low-cost service.
Grief is a natural reaction to death and can be expressed in different ways. Our Corporate Funeral Care Program has one goal – to support employees in a healthy way, which will allow some measure of healing to take place in your life during death.
As part of our Corporate Funeral Care Program, employee and family needs will be met through direct services, informational workshops, references and other ways needed. Following the loss of a loved one, our Corporate Funeral Care Program Consultant will help guide loved ones to help understand the specific needs and questions that may arise.
Green Funerals - This seminar will discuss green options for funerals, how to cut costs, and have a personalized funeral service. It is an opportunity for the corporation to show their employees that they are committed to green initiatives and support through difficult times.
Mourning Thymes Workshop Series - This workshop series assists employees in understanding funerals and how to plan a personalized service. It is an opportunity for the corporation to show their employees that they are important and supported even through difficult times.
Grief in a Bag - This is for employees who would like to participate in starting a Memorial Garden. This workshop will be 1 hour long and will be conducted as a lunchtime forum. Employees are offered the opportunity to attend and develop ways to help your grieving coworker honor their loved one. The project will be in partnership with the staff or Employee Assistance Programs (EAP).
Mourning Thymes will provide affordable and transparent services to employees, along with long-term benefits in the form of greater employee loyalty and compassion. We provide a dedicated Care Team of licensed professionals who can assist with everything from financial planning, event logistics, and grief counseling. Each of your employees has access to the resources they need to help navigate the pain and confusion that can follow these events.
Our membership plan covers your employees and their loved ones as they build out a Support Network.
On average, four days are given for the death of a spouse or child, according to the Society for Human Resource Management 2016 Paid Leave in the Workplace Survey. Three days are typically given for the loss of a parent, grandparent, domestic partner, sibling, grandchild or foster child. Only one or two days are usually offered for the death of a spouse’s relative or an extended family member (aunt, uncle, cousin). And, for the death of a close friend or colleague, most companies don’t extend any bereavement leave.
